Project 7 did an awesome job clearing out over 6,000lbs of weeds from our lakefront without using any harsh chemicals or sprays—something that's super important to us and our lake community 🙂 The crew was friendly and knowledgeable about native plants, took the time to explain which species are good for native wildlife and gave free advice on how to protect our shoreline. They even checked in after the job to make sure we were happy with everything. This is the second time we've worked with them and it won't be the last!
He is very professional, quick to respond, delivers amazing results, and is a genuine individual!!
Recommend 100+%
grass that found its way to my Lakefront via Helene and Milton. Been on Lake Holden 40 years and always havedone my own maintenance by hand.
Never again.
Thank you Tommy.
I had been putting it off forever bc it just seemed like too big of a job and too overwhelming, but with Thomas and Project 7, all of that worry was gone! Not only that, but they also took care of all of the permitting and dealing with the rules of how much we're actually allowed to clear and what we have to plant back and all that. I know a lot of companies might not take these precautions and just clear your lakefront, but 1) you can get in BIG trouble if you don't do it right and 2) we really want to be conscientious of the natural habitats and all that... so I'm so thankful that they actually do all this for me.
Finally, they were so quick... had it all done and removed and all that so fast! I even still use them for maintenance.
Reliable, honest, fair-priced and good ppl!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
professionalism and service! I live in a canal lake community in Orlando. Tommy took great care around my dock and boat while removing hydrilla weed throughout the canal. Now my boat can get out easily without fear of overheating from sucking in all the weeds. I would highly recommend his weed removal and shore line clearing to improve your life on the water and protect your lakeside investment

How much does shoreline cleanup or aquatic weed removal cost?
Pricing for these services varies based on several site-specific factors. We cannot provide an accurate quote without first conducting a site inspection. Key considerations include:
Location and county regulations
Load-out area accessibility
Whether the lake is private or public
Permit or replanting requirements
Type and extent of vegetation to be removed
Pricing starts at $1,700, but final costs depend on these conditions.
How long will it take for aquatic weeds to return after removal?
There’s no exact answer—only Mother Nature truly knows. Regrowth depends on a variety of environmental and maintenance factors, including:
Whether the area is regularly maintained
Water quality and clarity
Water temperature (growth typically slows in colder months)
Boating traffic, water movement, or if the water is stagnant
Each site is different, so results will vary based on these natural and human-influenced conditions.
Can you build a beach on my lakefront property?
No, building a beach is not permitted. Both Orange County and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) prohibit the creation of artificial beaches on natural shorelines. These regulations are in place to protect aquatic ecosystems and shoreline stability.
